CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - Two men are being sought in an armed robbery investigation led by the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuesday afternoon, November 25, 2025, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Old Rustburg Rd. in regard to an armed robbery in Lynchburg.

Deputies were told a man who goes by “BG” went to the victim’s home and robbed him while armed with a handgun; the victim was also physically assaulted by BG, according to deputies.

The suspect known as “BG” was identified by deputies as 39-year-old Wendell Lewis Franklin of Lynchburg.

Deputies say he’s wanted on charges of:

Robbery

Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony

Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Brandishing a Firearm

Assault and Battery

An accomplice was also involved
