PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - In the wake of tragedy, a Pulaski County woman is choosing to be grateful for her community this holiday week, after losing nearly everything in a devastating house fire.

Generations of Lawson families have spent Thanksgiving in the same house. It became Angel Lawson’s home, too, when she married her husband, Mike.

“[Thanksgiving] and Christmas, everybody came here. Even my dad and my children,” said Lawson... until Lawson’s worst fear was imagined just two weeks ahead of the holiday.

The home on Case Knife Road crumbled in a fire the evening of November 14. Pulaski fire officials said it started in the attic, quickly spreading and triggering the explosion of two propane tanks.
