SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Many people will gather around the table Thursday for the Thanksgiving feast.
Those counting sugar and calories should look for healthier options from the kitchen, according to health experts.
“Pick your protein, make sure you’re getting a good amount of some fruits and veggies. In fact, bring things that you know that you can eat that are going to be healthy choices for you. Deviled eggs are a great one with plenty of protein and no sugar,” said Dana Tindall of CoxHealth.
Experts say people should not worry if they overindulge on Thursday. People can exercise after dinner and return to their regular diet on Friday.
