LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A major bridge project remains in limbo with no timeline, Bridge director Elsa Hinojosa said.
At a recent Port of Entry advisory committee meeting, she updated members on the 4/5 Bridge. Hinojosa said she has been in contact with Webb County officials. Those officials say they are meeting with South Webb Bridge representatives and legal teams. Agreements between the two are still being finalized, and there is no timeline for the project.
Committee members also discussed the proposed bridge toll study, which has not yet been completed. The Laredo City Council discussed increasing tolls at the bridges in July. There is no word yet on when the study will begin or when tolls will increase.
