WCSB transfer to Ideastream was a ‘ripoff’ for longtime donors: Letter to the Editor

Thank you to letter writer Catherine Butler for adding more common sense to the still-unresolved scandal over Cleveland State University’s transfer of control of its WCSB radio station to Ideastream Public Media (" Is JazzNEO worth losing WCSB? Radio listeners question change ,“ Nov. 23).

WCSB was a gem on Cleveland’s radio band; JazzNEO is an overprescribed soporific. Ideastream already has other radio stations on which to broadcast their ultra-mainstream background music, so why do they also have to squelch the vital and important voices of dozens of communities and thousands and thousands of listeners, both locally and around the world?

Ideastream, JazzNEO and Cleveland State University have killed one of the very reasons I chose to live in Cleveland. Please relent and give the stud
