The college volleyball postseason is approaching, which means the stakes are higher for standout players who hail from Clark County.

That’s especially true for two pairs of sisters — Alicia and Lizzy Andrew and Lauren and Sydney Dreves.

Lizzy Andrew, a sophomore from Ridgefield, had a combined 12 kills and eight blocks in Stanford’s pair of 3-0 wins over California last weekend. At 6-foot-5, Andrew leads Stanford in blocks (122) and ranks second in kills (249).

At 16-2, No. 5-ranked Stanford is locked in a three-way tie atop the Atlantic Coast Conference entering the final week of the regular season.
