STATE COLLEGE — More good news is on the way as Penn State attempts to get its sixth win of the season.
Standout freshman defensive end Chaz Coleman was present at Wednesday evening’s practice, his first appearance in some time. He has not played in a game since the Ohio State loss on Nov. 1.
Coleman was in uniform and among his teammates during drills.
Interim coach Terry Smith said in recent weeks that Penn State was “hopeful” to get Coleman back from an undisclosed injury, but this is the best sign that he’s on the right track.
Penn State plays at Rutgers at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in a battle of 5-6 teams.
Coleman burst onto the scene this year after enrolling in Happy Valley in the summer. His pass-rushing ability is beyond his years, and he quickly gained weight to hold his own in
