Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Wednesday, Nov. 26, that a Bronx man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for second-degree murder and additional charges for fatally shooting, a 19-year-old woman, as well as shooting a man who survived after an argument in a nightclub in the University Heights section of The Bronx. The victims were not the intended targets.
“The defendant put people’s lives at risk when he opened fire inside a nightclub,” Clark said. “His reckless actions caused the death of a 19-year-old woman who was enjoying a night out. No one should have to fear they are risking their lives by enjoying our borough’s nightlife.”
Clark said the defendant, Domingo Berroa, 37, was sentenced Tuesday, Nov. 25, to 20 years to life in prison for second-degree
