SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio woman has been arrested for allegedly impersonating her "ex-acquaintance" on TikTok.
On April 14, affidavits show that an SAPD Human Exploitation Detective-Investigator was tasked to a case involving online impersonation.
The victim reported that they believed "fictitious" TikTok accounts, using pictures of their face, body and name, were being run by an "ex-acquaintance" of theirs.
After investigators received emails of the images shared by these accounts on TikTok, a Grand Jury Subpoena granted them access to the account.
The Sign Up ID to the alleged account was confirmed by the victim, and the suspect's employer, to be linked to Hediyeh Hashemi's work email.
Hashemi was arrested and faces the charge of online impersonation - name/persona create page, af
