A trainee surgeon has been issued a ban after posting various social media posts, which a tribunal panel deemed antisemitic and pro-terrorism . The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) imposed the 15-month suspension on NHS Dr Rahmeh Alaswan, 31, while the General Medical Council (GMC) conducts a comprehensive investigation into her conduct.

The panel said that the ban was necessary "after balancing the risk to protection of the public, the public interest and the interest of the doctor".
