A fairy village has sprung up in a stunning country park just a short drive from Port Tlbot.

Margam Country Park is bordered by beautiful purple rhododendrons in the summer - and in December its miniature fairy village sees the property turn into a winter wonderland.

The Welsh estate sees a grand gothic country home sits atop a sprawling mass of land.

The 19th mansion was designed by the architect Thomas Hopper for Christopher Rice Mansel Talbot and was built in 1830 using sandstone from nearby Pyle quarry, as per Margam Country Park.

The vast staircase hall and octagonal tower look over a park that has an array of activities for all the family - especially at Christmas .
