There are severe delays along the A470 as works take place along the major road. The closure of one of the lanes has caused traffic chaos on the A470 southbound from Upper Boat to Nantgarw as people head to work.

Traffic Wales has apologised to drivers as the overnight works on lane tow have been delayed causing disruption this Wednesday morning.

Traffic Wales said: "Apologies for the delays this morning. Unfortunately, the overnight works have been delayed, and at the moment it isn’t safe to reopen the lane. Our contractors are working as quickly as possible to get everything completed. Thank you for your patience."

There are severe delays of up to 53 minutes along the A470 southbound as the lane is still closed.
