In the UK, a half-empty box of chocolates perched on the coffee table is as much a part of the festive season as the Christmas tree or presents. It's also become something of a tradition to grumble about them.

Each year, numerous people take to social media to moan that their favourite chocolate box is shrinking due to shrinkflation.

Nobody fancies splashing out on a large tub of chocolates only to find it brimming with Bounties. So, I've taken it upon myself to tally up each chocolate from Britain's most cherished brands.

I popped down to my local Tesco to pick up Celebrations, Quality Street, Heroes and Roses to determine which one truly offers the best value this holiday
