The opening of a brand new Christmas village situated on the banks of the River Clyde has been cancelled over safety fears. Clydeside Christmas Village was due to host its grand opening tomorrow in Glasgow's West End . ‌

The festive event is completely free to enter and promises the "ultimate one-stop Christmas extravaganza". It was due to welcome punters for the first time on Friday, November 28 at its location on South Street, but is unable to. ‌
