In a horrifying incident, 21-year-old John Kemper Hutcherson made a life-altering decision that resulted in the gruesome death of his best friend.

On an early Sunday morning in August 2004, after a night out drinking with friends at a pub, Hutcherson decided to drive home with his close friend, Francis Daniel Brohm, in the passenger seat. As they journeyed back to their homes in Marietta, Georgia, US , a jovial atmosphere quickly turned into a nightmare.

Feeling unwell, Francis stuck his head out of the moving car's window for some fresh air. Tragedy struck when Hutcherson swerved off the road and hit a telephone pole support wire, decapitating his friend.
