The Peace Center has welcomed millions of visitors since opening its doors 35 years ago.

It serves as an artistic hub in downtown Greenville, hosting Broadway shows, musical concerts, comedian acts, dance performances and other events for residents and visitors to enjoy each year. Some of the iconic names that have performed at the Peace Center include Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash.

The opening of the Peace Center in November 1990 marked an early milestone in the revitalization of downtown Greenville. Located at the corner of South Main and West Broad streets, the performing arts center currently consists of a concert hall, theater, outdoor amphitheater and other event spaces.
