A quad bike stolen from a private garage beside the A21 was found around 24 miles away in Brands Hatch and "speedily" returned to its owner. Kent Police said the super fast resolution to the theft was due to the "quick work" by officers in New Ash Green, a village not far from Brands Hatch.
Police were called at 9.20am on Sunday (November 23) to a report of a quad bike being stolen from a private garage on the A21 London Road near Lamberhurst, which is around eight miles from Tunbridge Wells . And just nine minutes later, an abandoned car was flagged to patrols who were nearby, on Rosemary Lane in New Ash Green.
Officers attended and found the stolen bike in woods behind the empty vehicle. Enquiries into the theft are ongoing including reviewing CCTV footage and forensic analysis,
