LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KKTV) - A father and son are facing charges after police say the pair caused a deadly crash while road racing earlier this month.
Gregory Giles, 65, and Bryce Giles, 26, turned themselves in on Monday, a week and a half after the collision in Lakewood.
According to the Lakewood Police Department, officers responded to South Kipling Parkway and West Mississippi Avenue on the night of Nov. 13 for a crash involving several vehicles. Five people were hospitalized; two of the victims, identified as 26-year-old Demi Iglesias and 28-year-old Dalton Smith, later died.
“Through the investigation and after speaking with witnesses, Lakewood detectives believe that a car race between a father and son is what caused the fatal crash,” the police department said in an update on social
