The drama surrounding Miss Universe continues — and things have taken a dark turn.
Miss Universe Organization co-owner Raul Rocha is accused of trafficking drugs, weapons and fuel between Guatemala and Mexico.
Also the pageant’s president, Rocha was charged by Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office (FRG), according to a report published in Mexican newspaper Reforma .
The allegations come days after Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe following weeks of controversy and scandal surrounding the event.
Prosecutors with the FRG allege Rocha, a Mexican businessman who also serves as a consul of Guatemala in Mexico, is the leader of a criminal organization that smuggles fuel in boats through the Usumacinta River and then transfers the goods into trucks headed for Queretaro, M
