DELAWARE, Ohio — The Human Society of Delaware County is celebrating a rare accomplishment this Thanksgiving : an empty shelter.
Each dog at the facility found a foster home for the holiday. The human society shared the news and photos of the happy dogs on social media Wednesday afternoon.
"It's a silent night here at HSDC! All of our dog kennels are EMPTY," humane society operators wrote. "Thanks to all of you, none of our dogs are spending this holiday in a kennel and we could not be more grateful."
The post includes photos of the dogs and comments from the foster parents giving them a warm place for the holiday.
