LINCOLN, Neb. —

The day after Thanksgiving is the official opening of the Christmas season, and on a chilly Friday in 1982, Oklahoma presented Nebraska with a gift.

Things started off in favor of the Huskers after a Sooner fumble was picked up by Nebraska and eventually taken down the field for a touchdown to put NU on the board first.

Oklahoma would take a 10-7 lead but not for long.

An incredible play from the Huskers set up a Doug Wilkening touchdown to give Nebraska the lead back.

It came down to the wire with Nebraska leading 28-24, and the Sooners got the ball back with less than a minute on the clock.
