Police investigating the terror attack at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue have arrested a man at Manchester Airport. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a 31-year-old man was detained earlier today (November 27) after arriving on an inbound flight.

He has been arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism, and remains in custody for questioning. The arrest is the latest development in the investigation into the attack on October 2, when Jihad Al Shamie entered the synagogue and carried out a violent attack.
