HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 60-year-old man has been arrested following an assault on a Honolulu police officer in Waikiki.
HPD said the assault happened at around 7:30 a.m. Saturday near at Kalakaua Ave. and Ohua Ave.
The man bit and kicked the officer several times, according to police.
The officer suffered hand injuries and pain to his body, HPD said. He was treated at a hospital in good condition.
The suspect was located about ten minutes after the assault and was arrested for first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
