At 12:41 in the afternoon on Saturday, one of New Jersey’s longest running Thanksgiving football rivalries shifted from living tradition to the history books.

But the 106th edition of the Roselle/Roselle Park game, played on the holiday every year minus five since 1915, went out in style.

Terrific performances by Anthony Cianfrocca and Maxwell Griffin for Roselle Park’s Panthers, by Shymir Burgess for Roselle’s beloved Rams all marked the day, but when all was said and done it was Roselle Park who got it done.

Enough big plays on the ground from the Panthers duo closed out the Thanksgiving festival with a 41-19 victory for Roselle Park in front of roughly 1,500 in Roselle Park.

With the victory, Roselle finished its season with a 6-4 record and now leads the all-time series 55-44-8. Ro
