LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Bethany House of Laredo celebrated its 42nd Thanksgiving with the community Nov. 27, serving nearly 500 meals to those in need.
On a day dedicated to togetherness, volunteers donated their time and effort to help provide members of the unhoused community with a fresh hot meal and a place to be for the holiday. The event represents one of the most important days for the charity’s mission of helping others.
“The reason I volunteer is because it’s a way to get perspective on everything in life. Sometimes we take things for granted,” said William Webber, a volunteer.
In total, the Bethany House provided nearly 500 Thanksgiving meals.
