NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KTIV) - The Missouri River Runners held the Annual David Romo Memorial Turkey Trot on Thursday, Nov. 27, at the Adams Nature Center, combining a fun run with community service on Thanksgiving Day.
Participants brought non-perishable food items to donate to the Community Action Agency of Siouxland and ran, walked or jogged as much or as little as they wanted in the cold November morning.
Kyle Hoffman, David Romo Memorial Turkey Trot Director, says the event was a way for the community to come together to celebrate what they are thankful for.
