SCOTT COUNTY, Tenn. — This Thanksgiving, one restaurant in Scott County gave away meals to more than 1,000 people — hitting a new record.
RaeZack's Grill and Deli had a goal this year of serving a meal to more than 1,000 people, and they accomplished it. They've been serving a free hot Thanksgiving meal to members of the community every year since 2019, and this year, they served 1,095 people this year.
On a day when people spend time with their families, these volunteers are serving others. Paula Bridges said she's been volunteering since the giveaways started, and has Thanksgiving dinner with her family earlier in the month so that she can come up and serve the Scott County community.
"I think that as an individual and as a Christian, this is exactly what we're supposed to do," Bridge
