Two separate crashes, including one that killed one person, closed parts of Interstate 79 and Interstate 70 in Washington County on Thursday.
A deadly crash closed Interstate 79 between Exit 33 and Exit 34 for hours on Thanksgiving before it reopened around 10:15 p.m., authorities said.
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Rocco Gagliardi said one person was killed in the crash. The Washington County Coroner's Office said the victim, who has not been identified, was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle when the driver lost control due to icy conditions and crashed. The driver and another passenger were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions were not released.
Authorities did not say on Thursday night if there were any other injuries or how many vehicles were involved in the Interst
