A Delta man faces drunk driving and other charges after police arrested him during a RIDE program near Lyndhurst on Wednesday.
A Leeds County Ontario Provincial Police officer was conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Hicock Road, near Lyndhurst, shortly after 2 p.m.
“Only a few moments and vehicles into the RIDE program, the driver of a pickup truck was arrested for suspicion of impaired driving,” OPP reported Thursday.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed opened containers of alcohol in the back seat, and cannabis that was readily accessible to the driver.”
