AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Clifton, the Humane Society of Summit County’s longest resident who spent over 1,000 days waiting to be adopted, has finally found his “fur-ever” home!
This 4-year-old boy came in as a stray transfer from a local animal hospital in Jan. 2023... which means he spent most of his life in the Akron shelter.
HSSC said he may have been hit by a car before coming into their care, but Clifton didn’t let a “ruff” start slow him down.
He was goofy, playful, and full of love, but ready to finally trade the shelter life for the comfort of a permanent home to call his own, according to HSSC.
“After more than 1,000 days of waiting, Clifton deserves his happy ending,” HSSC stated when he reached day 1,028. “He is so ready to give his whole heart to the right family.”
