A pair of earthquakes shook parts of Riverside County, near Idyllwild, on Thanksgiving Day.

The first earthquake, a preliminary magnitude 3.8, happened at roughly 5:36 p.m. The second, a slightly weaker magnitude 3.5, happened about 30 seconds later, according to the United States Geological Survey.

Both were centralized at about 6.2 miles southwest of Idyllwild.
