BOYLE CO., Ky. (WYMT) - In the KHSAA Class 4A State Semifinals, Corbin pays a visit to Boyle County.

Since 2017, the Redhounds have met the Rebels in the postseason four times.

“It’s exciting,” said Corbin Football Head Coach Luke Salmons. “It’s always a big game. It’s a new year, we’ve got different kids, heck this is just my second year so it’s similar, but it’s different.”

The Redhounds dropped three consecutive games in their first six matchups of the season to Pulaski County, Johnson Central and Frederick Douglass, but are now on a seven-game win streak heading into their battle against the Rebels.

“Since then it’s paid off,” said Senior linebacker Eli Pietrowski. “Losing those games, playing those tough opponents. I think it’s paid off for now where we’re at.”
