SOMERSET, Ky. (WYMT) - Pulaski County will play host to Atherton in the KHSAA Class 5A State Semifinals.

The Maroons have been without Quarterback Zak Anderson, who suffered a season-ending injury in their first matchup against South Laurel, for the entire postseason.

“We have some great leadership,” said Pulaski County Head Football Coach Travis Burns. “After Zak we had to find some footing, and that’s reflected in that Southwestern game, we didn’t play our best. Will (Adams) took over and we were just trying to figure out who we were, and it’s just the next man up mentality. We had goals that we set out for on January 6th when we started in the off-season and we weren’t going to let one thing side us from that.”
