LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - In the KHSAA Class 2A State Semifinals, Belfry visits Lexington Christian.
The last meeting between the two programs was on Sept. 2, 2022. The Eagles won that game, 36-7.
“We faced them years ago when Cutter Boley (Current Kentucky QB) was their quarterback,” said Belfry Football Head Coach Matt Varney. “They were throwing the ball all over the place, but this year they’ve got a very good running football team.”
LCA is 10-3 on the season and enters the game off of a 35-16 victory against Mayfield. The Pirates are 12-1, most recently defeating Breathitt County, 41-14 to advance to the state semifinals.
