A man has died in west Sydney after being shot multiple times in broad daylight, police have confirmed

New South Wales (NSW) police were called to Carinya Street, Blacktown, at about 11.50am on Friday, November 28, following reports of a public place shooting .

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command found a man with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and leg.

He was treated by NSW ambulance paramedics, but died at the scene.
