Families are reeling today following the sudden death of a child in Paisley. ‌

Renfrewshire Council confirmed yesterday that a pupil of Paisley Grammar had died unexpectedly. The age of the child and circumstances of the tragic death are not known. ‌

A council spokesperson told the Paisley Daily Express: “We are deeply saddened to confirm we have been made aware a pupil who attends Paisley Grammar School has passed away. ‌

“This is a time of great sadness for the whole school community and our thoughts are with the pupil’s family and friends at this time.

“Staff at the school have informed pupils and parents, and are offering support to all affected at this very difficult time. We would ask the privacy of the family is respected.” Article continues below
