The number of people killed in Hong Kong’s devastating apartment complex fire has risen to 128, officials said Friday.
Hong Kong Secretary for Security Chris Tang warned during a press conference Friday afternoon local time that the death toll could rise further as there are about 200 people whose situation is unknown.
At least 79 people were injured in the disaster, he added. Authorities received 467 missing persons inquiries, of which 39 have been confirmed to have died.
