A Pokémon GO enthusiast was savagely killed following a Facebook post that sparked a brutal confrontation. John Dickson, 27, launched a vicious assault on 20-year-old Carl Gregory in a shopping centre car park in Broadstairs, Kent, putting him in a stranglehold and repeatedly stamping on his head before abandoning him to die. ‌

Carl, who suffered from Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD, perished from suffocation in October 2016. Just hours prior to the barbaric slaying, Kent Online reported that Carl had shared an image on his Facebook profile showing a woman leaping over penis statues with the message: "this is how most girlfriends get over their exes (sic)". ‌
