Lake effect snow showers will lighten up through the rest of this morning, tapering off in the early afternoon and wrapping up just after noon. It's likely that nowhere in Michiana gets above freezing for the rest of today as highs reach near 30 degrees. A brief lull in the snow starting in the middle of today ends tomorrow morning around 7-8 AM EST as a surface low barrels toward Michiana. This system has the makings of a winter storm and will likely produce around half a foot of snow between tomorrow afternoon and Sunday evening for most of Michiana.
