When Thanksgiving rolls around, one thing Montanans pretty much all agree on is how lucky we are to be living in this incredible state. As ecosystems and native species vanish across the globe, our mountains, plains, forests and rivers still support virtually all the fish, wildlife and native plants that were here when Lewis and Clark went through more than 200 years ago. Given the largely degraded and degrading state of the rest of the nation and world, that’s pretty much a miracle — and one for which thanks is fully justified.
