ALLIANCE — Mount Union's football game against Capital this season must have felt like old times to safety Jerry Cooper, Jr.
Thirty-seven seconds into a blowout win over the Comets, Cooper intercepted a pass and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown. The end zone was not an unfamiliar place for the senior out of South Fort Myers, Fla. He caught three touchdown passes for the Purple Raiders last season.
This one was his first touchdown since moving to defense.
