After spending more than two decades incarcerated in Massachusetts, a man’s fate remains uncertain as he is facing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Bryan Marshall, of Chicopee, was 27 when he shot a killed another man, Robert Campbell, who was dating his ex-girlfriend on April 10, 2001.
Marshall was convicted of second-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
He was first allowed to ask for parole in 2016 but postponed his hearing. Instead, he faced the Massachusetts Parole Board for the first time on June 18.
His last disciplinary report was in 2010, the parole board noted. He has also completed multiple programs and is awaiting enrollment in the Family Violence Program.
