A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Friday at 6:38 a.m. for snow showers until 7:30 a.m. for Clinton and Franklin counties.
"At 6:37 a.m., snow showers were reported along a line extending from 6 miles north of Mooers to near Burke Village. Movement was east at 25 mph," describes the weather service. "Low visibility and changeable conditions may pose a hazard to morning commuters."
Locations impacted by the alert include Mooers Village, Rouses Point, Champlain Village, Chateaugay Village, Alburgh Village, Champlain, Ellenburg, Chazy, Altona, Mooers, Clinton, Alburgh, Chateaugay, Beekmantown, Isle La Motte, Dannemora, Burke, Bellmont, Churubusco and Ellenburg Depot. This includes Interstate 87 between mile markers 166 and 175.
