BIRCH RUN, MI -- The Village of Birch Run will welcome Santa Claus by train on Friday, Dec. 5, as part of the annual Christmas in the Village celebration.

The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the corner of Main and Maple streets. Santa is scheduled to arrive on the Lake State Railway at 5:30 p.m.

The Rotary Club of Birch Run is organizing the event in partnership with the Birch Run Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce.

Families planning to visit Santa must make advance reservations through the Birch Run Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce website. A photographer will be available to take photos using attendees’ own cameras.

The outdoor celebration will feature music, live animals and concessions. Students from the Birch Run Rotary Interact Club will host games with prizes. Photo opportunities
