MUSKEGON, MI -- Fat tire bikers will have a new trail to traverse as the season opens up in December.

Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park is hosting a Global Fat Bike Day ride on trails that don’t typically allow bikers.

The park, located within the Muskegon State Park, received special permission from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to open up its trail system for fat tire bikers.

All bikes are welcome from 12 - 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. The park’s lit trails will be illuminated at dusk.

The Global Fat Bike Day ride has a suggested donation of $10 to support trail management.
