Metro Detroit dodged the major snowstorm that hit the Upper Peninsula earlier this week, but is now in the path of a winter storm that is expected to dump a lot of snow on the region starting Saturday.
Accumulating snow is expected to arrive late in the afternoon Saturday, Nov. 29 and continue through the morning of Sunday, Nov. 30, according to the National Weather Service.
