The Delaware County Public Defender’s Office, in collaboration with Partners for Justice and the J. Lewis Crozer Library, hosted an expungement and sealing clinic in Chester recently to help residents clear eligible cases from their criminal records and access new opportunities.

According to Delaware County:

More than 100 residents registered for the event.

In the weeks leading up to the clinic, Partners for Justice advocates embedded within the Public Defender’s Office contacted each registrant to discuss their cases and determine eligibility for record sealing or expungement.

On the day of the event, advocates and attorneys worked with nearly 50 individuals, completing petitions, answering legal questions, and helping them take meaningful steps toward a clean slate.
