FOXBOROUGH – The first test for the Patriots ’ makeshift offensive line won’t be an easy one.

On Monday night, the offense will play its first full game without left tackle Will Campbell and left guard Jared Wilson. Although the New York Giants’ 2-10 record makes this look like an easy matchup, the talent level on their defensive line says otherwise.

Led by Pro Bowl pass rusher Brian Burns (13 sacks), Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence (seven quarterback hits), and No. 3 overall pick Abdul Carter (12 quarterback hits), the Giants have a talented defensive unit that will test the Patriots ’ ability to protect Drake Maye .

That’s why the entire Patriots offense will have to step up to help fill the void on the left side of the offensive line.
