Former Lions running back opts to sign with AFC team instead of return to Detroit
When the Detroit Lions waived Craig Reynolds this week, the expectation was he would return to the team's practice squad.
However, that is reportedly not going to happen.
According to Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com , Reynolds is signing with the New England Patriots ' practice squad, pending a physical.
"Patriots update: Signing former veteran Lions running back Craig Reynolds to practice squad today, pending physical, per source," Wilson reported.
Reynolds was waived Wednesday as part of a flurry of roster moves that also included the team reinstating center Frank Ragnow from the reserve/retired list and activating edge rusher Marcus Davenport from injured reserve.
