PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- The City of Plymouth has canceled the annual Lighted Holiday Parade and Christmas Tree lighting originally scheduled for Saturday.
Mayor Robert Listenberger stated via Facebook that this decision wasn't made lightly and is being done out of an abundance of caution.
His full statement is as follows:
"In an abundance of caution and with a heavy heart, we have come to the conclusion that we must cancel this year's Annual Lighted Holiday Parade and Christmas Tree lighting. This decision was not made lightly. The safety and well-being of our community, volunteers, and participants are our absolute top priorities. Given the current weather forecast, we believe this is the most responsible course of action to ensure everyone can celebrate the holiday season safely. W
